US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 346K
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 42K last week to a seasonally adjusted 346K in the week ended April 6, below expectations at 365K and coming from 388K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, rose by 12K to a seasonally adjusted 3.079 million in the week ended March 30 vs. 3.091 million in the previous week (revised).
